Links between pregnancy outcomes and subsequent child and adult health

A range of diverse projects aim to identify potentially modifiable associations between pregnancy conditions and outcomes and subsequent health and disease.

Current projects include:

  • Determining the probability of recurrence of breech presentation in 2nd and 3rd pregnancies and exploring the policy implications
  • Examine the frequency and reasons for antenatal hospital admissions and explore regional differences
  • Examine differences in the characteristics of linked and unlinked records in population health data sets
  • Assessing trends in infant size at birth.
