Welcome
Welcome to the Kolling Institute of Medical Research, established over 80 years ago at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) in Sydney.
One of the leading centres of health and medical research in NSW, the Kolling Institute is jointly affiliated with the University of Sydney, through the Northern Clinical School, and RNSH in the Northern Sydney Central Coast Area Health Service.
In October 2008 Kolling Institute researchers came together in a visionary new research facility that serves as a vital catalyst for the formation of new ideas, new collaborations and new discoveries.
Our research focus is on "lifespan" conditions including:
- pregnancy and childbirth to
- cancer and genetics
- kidney and heart disease
- pain and neurological disorders
- diseases of bones and joints and
- tissue regeneration.
Our goal is to uncover the basis of disease and translate our knowledge to the clinic for the betterment of patient health and wellbeing.
